The Program

Program Overview

The CANADEM USA Global Changemakers: Youth Diplomacy & Leadership Academy is a six-week leadership development experience designed to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to become engaged global citizens and future leaders.

Through interactive sessions on diplomacy, leadership, human rights, emotional intelligence, public speaking, and community impact, participants will explore how collaboration, empathy, and innovation can contribute to solving local and global challenges.

The program combines expert-led discussions, teamwork activities, reflections, debates, and a final Changemaker Project where participants apply their learning to create meaningful solutions for their communities.

16–28years old

Ideal Participants

This program is designed for young adults interested in leadership, international affairs, social impact, diplomacy, human rights, and creating positive change.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the program, participants will:

Understand the principles of diplomacy, international cooperation, and the role of global leadership in addressing shared challenges.
Explore leadership foundations, including integrity, empathy, resilience, accountability, and purpose-driven decision-making.
Strengthen public speaking, storytelling, debate, and persuasive communication abilities.
Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through real-world challenges and collaborative projects.
Design, present, and reflect on a community-based Changemaker Project that addresses a local and global challenge.
Build confidence as emerging leaders prepared to contribute to a more peaceful, inclusive, and collaborative world.
